Strength training can feel intimidating, especially when it comes to using barbells and weight plates. But it doesn’t have to be.
As women’s health exercise physiologists, we recognize that traditional gym environments aren’t for everyone. Many of our clients have had negative experiences in these spaces—feeling out of place, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start. Some have even sworn off weights entirely
The reality is, barriers to strength training aren’t just physical; they’re psychological too.
Fear of injury, lack of knowledge, past experiences of not feeling ‘strong enough,’ or simply not seeing themselves as someone who lifts weights can all stand in the way. That’s why our approach focuses on empowerment, education, and creating a safe, supportive space where women can build strength at their own pace.
Join Women's Health Accredited Exercise Physiologist Georgia Trompf for a 60-minute workshop designed to help you overcome these challenges. We’ll break down common fears, build confidence, and create a supportive approach to strength training—so you can feel empowered in any gym setting.
We will break down things - We’re experts at breaking down movement into small, easy-to-understand steps, so you’ll never feel overwhelmed.
Build Confidence with Movement - We’ll help you figure out exactly where to start, whether you’re completely new to lifting, returning after injury, or navigating pain or women’s health concerns like pelvic floor dysfunction or pelvic pain.
Inclusive - Judgement Free Environment - Our inclusive, judgment-free environment is designed to help you feel safe and supported — perfect if you’ve ever felt intimidated, unsure, or anxious in traditional gym settings.
Mindset Shift – A shift in mindset—from feeling intimidated by weights to feeling empowered by them.
