WHAT IS EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY?

Think of Exercise Physiology as the place where healthcare meets exercise.

Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who use exercise to help prevent, manage and treat injury, illness and chronic health conditions.

But it isn't just rehabilitation. We can help you move from managing symptoms and rebuilding confidence through to getting stronger, improving fitness and returning to the things you want your body to do.

01

WE LISTEN

We'll talk about your health, symptoms, exercise history and what you actually want to achieve.

02

WE ASSESS

Depending on why you're here, we'll look at relevant movement, strength, fitness or other measures to understand your starting point.

03

WE MAKE A PLAN

Together we'll work out what comes next. That might include one-to-one support, Clinical Exercise, Strength, classes or an independent/home program.

The any.BODY Exercise Physiology and Pilates team

We're not here to keep you doing "rehab exercises" forever.

Sometimes you need more support at the beginning. Our job is to help you build the strength, fitness, confidence and capacity to do more — not keep you dependent on us.

Your pathway can change as you progress.

We understand healthcare and we understand exercise.

A few practical things.

Do I need a referral?

No — you don't need a referral to book an Initial Consultation. If you have a GP Chronic Disease Management (EPC/CDM) plan, an NDIS plan or a DVA referral, we're happy to work with that too.

Can I claim private health?

Yes. One-to-one Exercise Physiologist appointments are eligible for private health fund rebates — the amount depends on your level of cover, so it's worth checking with your fund.

Do you see NDIS clients?

Yes, we're NDIS registered and support NDIS participants with individualised exercise physiology sessions tailored to your plan and goals.

Do you offer Telehealth?

Yes — Telehealth sessions are available where appropriate, alongside WorkCover and DVA-funded care.

What should I bring?

Just wear comfortable clothing you can move in — we'll guide you through everything else at your appointment.

READY TO START?

You don't need to know what comes next.

Start with an Initial Consultation. We'll understand what's going on, what you'd like to achieve and help map out the right pathway from there.
